dreams

My influences include the legendary Studs Terkel, Keith Haring, Lynda Barry, John Callahan, David Sedaris, Annie Dillard, Alison Bechdel, Roz Chast, Jean-Jacques Sempe, the uninhibited perspective of children, and the many friends I met while working as a nurse.

Specifically, I am constantly influenced by those patients who gracefully shared themselves with me as their lives were drawing to a close.

My art is an attempt to reflect and aspire, rooted in the paradox that as humans we are infinite spirits housed in finite bodies, leaving us grounded, yet reaching.
